Ever since the Green Ox transformed, it no longer wanted to take the shape of an ox, preferring the appearance of a boy similar to Eryao's past youthful form.
Now that it could speak human language, it felt exhilarated. Eryao used to talk incessantly and all it could do was listen without responding much.
But now things were different. When Eryao nagged, it would respond, and its responses were even more plentiful than Eryao's.
The previously silent and honest Green Ox had become a chatterbox, which Eryao found even more annoying than before.
It used to never talk back when scolded, but now it would retort tenfold for every one sentence spoken to it, driving Eryao mad.
Sometimes, when Eryao hopped about in anger, he would unceremoniously slap Green Ox on the head. Perhaps Eryao didn't use enough strength, or it was just for fun, or maybe Green Ox's resistance was just too strong.
