"Scarlet Light Column"
"Do you get it now?"
Kerr Cowell didn't care about the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle hovering outside the window and the sirens below. He put his hands behind his head, feet on the table, leaned back on the chair, and spoke casually.
"Do you dare?"
"Why not give it a try?"
The man resisted the urge to glance out the window. His peripheral vision had already taken in much of the scene. After his eyelids twitched a few times, he straightened up and said to Kerr Cowell word by word.
"Your actions have no meaning."
"Meaning?"
Kerr Cowell, slightly impatient, took off his hard-top hat and placed it on his lap. Then, he continued: "As a chaotic force, what's the meaning in what we do? Can't you understand what chaotic force is?"
"Do you think I'm like those weaklings who call themselves chaotic forces?"
"Do you think I'd pay you taxes just because I'm scared?"
"As a chaotic force, if you can't even act on a whim, then you're not worth a damn."
