Chapter 25 - The Liang Family

Liu Yi took a direct hit from Eldest Uncle Liu's stick and immediately felt a tearing pain. His eyes almost popped out as his body flew out!

"It's only one hit, but you can't take it anymore? Weren't you quite capable?" Eldest Uncle Liu laughed sinisterly. Without waiting for Liu Yi to get up, he raised his leg and swept horizontally, kicking him over again.

He grabbed Liu Yi's arm and gradually increased his grip, "You beat your elders? You're really capable..."

Liu Yi gritted his teeth as blood trickled down from the corner of his mouth. He tried to resist his eldest uncle, but even though he was in the Qi-forging Realm, his strength was far inferior to his eldest uncle, who was much older than him. Eldest Uncle Liu laughed evilly. Then, he raised the stick high up in the air. With a bloodthirsty glint in his eyes, he smashed it down heavily.

"Crack!"

"Ah!" The sound of bones breaking suddenly rang out, and Liu Yi's heart-wrenching cry resounded through the courtyard!

"No!" Widow Liu hugged Liu Qian tightly and begged Eldest Uncle Liu, "Big brother Liu, please let Yi go. He's still young, but he's your brother's only son! Please let him go! I'm begging you!"

Liu Qian struggled hard and broke free from her mother's hand. She rushed up to Liu Yi and protected him behind her. She looked at Eldest Uncle Liu as she trembled and said, "Eldest uncle, please don't hit my brother anymore. I'll go with you. Please stop hitting him!"

Boom! Thunder rang as if resounding in everyone's minds, and the sky lit up before darkening again. Despair spread.

"Qian..." Hearing Liu Qian's words, Liu Yi couldn't vent his anger. Blood started to flow out from the corner of his mouth.

In the Ye family, Ye Yan sat on the steps, looking at the pitter-patter of the rain in the courtyard. Something was bugging him and he kept that something bad was going to happen.

He especially could not understand Liu Yi's breakthrough. No matter what, it did not make sense for the latter to break through so quickly. He'd better go take a look...

Ye Yan was a little worried, so he took out the oil-paper umbrella, stepped into the rain, and rushed toward the Liu family. The rain had been drizzling for a long time. The village was all mud roads, which would turn muddy when soaked in water, staining one's shoes and pants.

Ye Yan stepped into holes of mud with every step and had to shake his legs every few steps, but this also magnified his uneasiness.

"Why are there so many people?" When he arrived at the Liu family's house, he realized that something was wrong. There were many people outside the door, and the house was brightly lit.

The few people surrounding the door were all old and somewhat famous in the village. Ye Yan noticed one of them at first glance. It was the old village head of Dumen Village, Shen Tong, also known as Master Shen.

After getting a little closer, a girl's cry seemed to come from the house. Ye Yan remembered that it was Liu Yi's sister, Liu Qian. There also seemed to be the cries of Liu Yi's mother!

"Big brother Liu, please let us go. For the sake of your brother, please spare our family! We can't give Xiao Qian away!"

Hearing this, the elders outside the door couldn't stand it anymore. They took a few steps forward and coldly shouted, "Eldest son of the Liu family, you'd better stop!"

Master Shen's eyebrows were fierce as he looked at Eldest Uncle Liu sternly, "Eldest son of the Liu family, Liu Yi is your younger brother's son, not yours. If you cause his life to be lost in a moment of anger, I, Shen Tong, will send you to the authorities!"

Hearing someone speak at the door, Eldest Uncle Liu was about to turn around to vent his anger. However, when he saw that it was the village chief, Master Shen, who stepped forward, a trace of fear flashed in his eyes.

If it were just a few young people who had come forward, he wouldn't be afraid. After all, he could just beat them up. However, he was facing a group of well-known old men in the village.

His anger was bottled up in his stomach and he wanted to vent it out. However, he could only glare fiercely at Shen Tong and the other elders, "Old village chief, this is the Liu family's business. I'm the uncle, and I'm teaching my disobedient nephew a lesson on behalf of my younger brother. Do you want to interfere in our family affairs?"

Shen Tong choked at these scoundrel's words. He stared at him for a long time, but he couldn't force anything out. Someone else, on the other hand, stepped in.

In the corner, the head of the Liang family, who was prominent in the village, looked at the dying Liu Yi in the courtyard. He was so angry that his face turned ashen. Finally, he could not hold it in any longer and shouted angrily, "Liu Tao, shut your mouth. Today, I will meddle in the affairs of your family! I'm warning you, all the branches of the Liang family are nearby. If you dare to make a move on Lin Yi's family again, Hmph! I, Liang Feng, would like to see if you can handle the Liang family's anger!"

Even though Liang Feng was old, his heart was not. His back was straight, and a strong and unyielding spirit surrounded him. When he spoke, he was extremely dignified. As he spoke, he advanced instead of retreating, slowly approaching Eldest Uncle Liu. He moved past the latter and stood in front of Liu Yi's family.

Eldest Uncle Liu was a little fazed by Liang Feng's aura, but he wasn't afraid. Seeing that the old man was protecting his target, he snorted and knocked the stick on the ground twice, revealing a threatening look, "Liang Family Head, this is our family's matter. It's not good for you to be like this, right?"

Facing Eldest Uncle Liu, who was several times stronger than him, Liang Feng did not lose his composure. He simply raised his head and raised his chin, saying loudly, "Liu Tao, my bones are old, but my spirit isn't. If I say I'll meddle in your affairs today, I will. I'll give you two choices now. Stop, or we'll help you stop!"

The Liang Family Head's voice grew louder and louder, almost as if he was roaring. As his words fell, echoes that agreed with his words immediately sounded.

"You animal! Get lost from Dumen Village!"

"Liu Tao bastard, hurry up and leave!"

"I will not allow the existence of such an animal who lays a hand on his family!"

Unknowingly, many young people had appeared outside the Liu family's gate, and their numbers were still increasing. At the door, Ye Yan suppressed his anger and watched from the side. He found that many of them were from the Liang family.

Eldest Uncle Liu's pupils constricted when he saw so many people suddenly appear outside the door. He began to plan on retreating and did not make any further moves.

Ye Yan had seen enough. Liu Yi and his mother were still in the rain. He shook his

head and strode in, "Aunty, Yi, and sister Qian, the rain is heavy. Let's go inside."

He walked forward and handed the umbrella to Widow Liu with a smile.

Widow Liu and Liu Qian were a bit stunned by Ye Yan's sudden appearance. Only Liu Yi reacted and hurriedly pulled his mother and sister into the house. He couldn't handle it, but Brother Yan could help him take revenge!

Ye Yan didn't seem to notice others while Eldest Uncle Liu was so angry that his face turned green. To think this brat dared to ignore him!

Ye Yan turned his head, ignoring the angry Eldest Uncle Liu, looking at Master Shen, Master Liang, and the others, saying softly, "Old masters, the rain is cold and heavy, please come in and oversee how I will settle this matter."

Shen Tong and the others were quite curious when Ye Yan suddenly came out to take charge of the matter. It was not until he said so that they realized that they were all old bones and couldn't stand the cold. So, they walked into the Liu family's house to take shelter from the rain. Ye Yan knew why they didn't enter the house earlier. It was because there was a widow in the house. In this era, it was very important to avoid suspicion.

In the courtyard, Eldest Uncle Liu wanted to go up and teach the rude junior a lesson, but after being glared at by Ye Yan, he suddenly felt a chill on his neck and lost control of his body, trembling.
