Chapter 3 - Daniel and Stella

Lieblings Bar Berlin, 10.00 pm.

"Is the bar always busy here?"

The woman lifted her head, staring at a man who had just sipped tequila.

"Quite often."

The man chuckled. "By the way, you're so beautiful. I'm not bragging. You have to believe that I said it was still conscious despite drinking 3 glasses of tequila."

"I know. And thanks. Just finish your tequila and then quickly get into position to join them," the bartender's chin pointed at a group of people in the corner of the room who were struggling and rocking.

Yes, it's the most famous bar in Berlin. Its location in the middle of the city is certainly the most strategic bar that makes its income never recede from year to year.

The man with the eagle tattoo in his hand touched the bartender's chin.

"Hey, you're so curt. Don't be too cool to be a woman."

"So what?"

"You're beautiful. It would be a waste if your beauty is buried by that cold aura of yours. Be a little friendly to men, especially your customers. Or at least respond to the chatter of an established man like me."

Tch! Masher masquerading as an established man, huh?!

"Thanks for your advice. I'll improve my service as a bartender here."

Gizelle snorted harshly. She was relieved because the crazy man who had just teased her had gone from her sight. Choose to continue his activities by mingling with sexy women on the sofa.

A tap on the table in front of her startled Gizelle.

"Oh my gosh, Gizelle! I can't believe this. I saw my best friend working as a bartender at the leading cafe in this town?"

Suddenly Gizelle widened her eyes and hugged the woman tightly.

"I couldn't believe you would arrive today. I thought you would arrive tomorrow."

"Don't you miss me too, Elle?" the baritone voice made Gizelle untangle her embrace.

"Oh- my dear Daniel," instead hugs the owner of that voice.

The man stroked Gizelle's back. "You're just getting thinner like you're malnourished."

"I think so too. It seems you've been neglected after a year of choosing to stay here."

Gizelle invited her two friends to sit on a chair near the bartender's table.

"Well, that's what it looks like. Maybe I'm thinner, but that's okay, it's no big deal. I just need to think of a way to make a lot of money and everything will be fine again."

"Why choose to be a bartender when your position in Edward's father's company is promising, hm?"

Gizelle rolling lazy her eyeballs. "Tsk. Come on, Stella. Who do you think will want to stay there if the continuity of the company is threatened?"

"What do you mean?" then asked Daniel.

Oh- it seems that Gizelle has to understand the ignorance of his two friends about the development of his ex-lover's family company.

"Some investors revoked the injection of funds in Edward's father's company. This is because news emerged that several company officials took away some money that would be used for the construction of mega projects. Because of that, they no longer wanted to believe and caused the company's finances to be shaken including the cancellation of several cooperation contracts."

Stella widened her eyes. "Wow. It's quite shocking for me to hear this news. Don't you know about this news too, Daniel?"

"No. How can I know the development of the small company owned by Gizelle's boyfriend? After all, my family focuses on the hotel and tourism industry."

Yes, Daniel is right. Indeed, the company owned by the family of Gizelle's ex-boyfriend is not that famous.

"And another piece of news is, I unilaterally cut off my relationship with Edward."

"Because of money?"

"That is indeed one of the reasons. But the main factor is that I no longer have feelings for him like the early days of dating."

Daniel who was drinking a glass of red wine was choking.

"You... what? Break up with Edward?"

Stella stroked Daniel's back while wiping his mouth. "Never mind, there's no need to talk about it anymore. From the start, I also didn't like it when Gizelle was in love with Edward. I don't think that man is strong enough to be with a high-class woman like you, Elle."

"Pffft. A high-class woman but working as a bartender?"

Damn it! This man is so insolent.

Gizelle grunted roughly. "Don't make fun of me just because I'm not as glamorous as I used to be, Niel! After all, my salary here is almost the same as my salary when I worked at Edward's company. Even though I only serve visitors who ask for drinks during night shifts. Isn't it easier than being a company secretary?" Gizelle raised an eyebrow, then spoke again.

"Besides, I'm still a high-class woman. The proof is, that sales skyrocketed when I replaced the previous male bartender. Ah- my charm can't be underestimated by the eyes of the men in this city."

The two people in front of her laughed loudly.

"You've always been arrogant, haven't changed," said Daniel.

Gizelle frowned. Stella looks busy observing a group of people partying in the corner of the cafe with some glasses in their hands.

"What are you looking at, Stel? Is one of the guys over there your target?"

The woman wearing a headband on her head chuckled. "It's not that easy, Elle. I just feel familiar with the guy over there."

"Which one?"

"Look, Niel. The guy in the tuxedo with the bitch next to him, isn't that Kenric?"

"Who?"

"Ah, you're such a forgetful! Kenric Federico Reagan, is a businessman from Berlin who used to take master's studies at our campus. Don't you remember the man who was famous on our campus a few years ago?"

"I didn't," Gizelle chimed in.

"I'm not asking you, idiot!"

Haha, damn it! The idiot was not invited.

"Ah, ya! I remember it. The son of a conglomerate who once went viral at the UNIVERSITY OF VIENNA because of his charisma and abundant wealth."
