Chapter 53 - Dante's past

Such an event would bring nothing but utter glee into the dark elf's mind as her face was already warm with all the blood that had rushed to her face but as the dark elf kept daydreaming, she was made to immediately wake up from her daze by the abrupt words uttered outside the room.

"What!!!!"

Three Cute little girls quickly opened the door of the room as they hurried towards Suzanne. Clearly they've been awake since Suzanne left Dante's room.

"We want to be Daddy's brides when we grow up too. So Grandma please can we call you mom as from now on,"

Delilah pleaded with Suzanne as she held on tightly to Suzanne's legs.

"Please grandma," Leah pleaded also.

"Please grandma, we love Dada more than anyone in the whole world," Mia joined also as she spreads her arms wide when stating the last part of the sentence.

Hearing all three girls words, Suzanne chuckled a bit before declaring.

"My my, it seems my son is really popular. Okay then girls, you can call me mom and since you are my son's future wives you must take care of him very well, is that clear?"

Suzanne relayed before lifting the shortest among the three girls, Mia on her lap as Suzanne rubs her nose on Mia's nose while talking.

"Hehe.... We promise. We'll take care of Dada and we'll make him happy forever,"

"That's right. We'll make Papa love us so much, he'll never want to leave us alone, "

"Indeed. Daddy belongs to us. So we won't allow ANYONE to take him away from us," Delilah declared before sending Deena a death glare for a quick nanosecond.

"I love Dante just as much as you three!"

Though she knew she shouldn't make herself an enemy to all three girls but Deena couldn't sit still and remain quiet about her love for Dante. She knew it might be hopeless but she wants all three girls to know she loves Dante just as much as they do or maybe even greater than they did.

Moreover if she doesn't do this, the girls will most likely deem her unworthy to stay by Dante's side and nothing would please her more than being close to him. Though they may hate her for doing this in the future but she won't deny her feelings ever again. She knows who she wants and she's willing to do anything to stay by his side.

"That's a lie!! No one could ever love Daddy just as much as we do." Delilah retorted back.

"That's right!! Papa promised to marry us and we shall. " Leah joined the fray.

"My.. my. It's okay girls. Dante will love each and everyone equally, " Noticing all four girls were on the verge of arguing, Suzanne decided to calm their nerves.

"No mom. Dada belongs to us alone, " Mia remarked as she faced towards Suzanne.

"Is that so? Then I guess you won't want to know what kind of girl Dante would dream to have by his side, "

"Huh? Really? You know what kind of girl Daddy likes? Please mom tell us, " Hearing what Suzanne said just a second ago, Delilah's ears twitched as she faced towards Suzanne.

"Please mom!!" Leah moved closer also.

"Pretty please!!" Mia looked into Suzanne's eyes.

With all four girls including Deena moving towards Suzanne to hear what she has to say as they brought their faces towards hers, clearly they were interested in this particular topic. And seeing this, Suzanne was left with no choice but to answer them as she was barely granted space to breathe freely.

"Okay. Okay girls. Settle down first. If you really want to know the kind of girl he likes, you should know about the kind of boy Dante was while he was still young, "

Suzanne began to explain about how Dante was when he was young. Dante was someone who rarely smiled, he never really had interest in playing with toys or anyone else. He barely spoke in the house also. It was almost as though he didn't see any point in living or doing anything in the house.

No matter how everyone tried to make him smile, he never showed emotions. Things finally took a turn when he knew about Alfred's sword fighting skills. He immediately requested Alfred to be his sword teacher. Only then did Suzanne ever saw Dante smiled, she watched as he tried harder and harder to master his sword fighting every single day. All he cared about was nothing more than gaining strength.

With this, Suzanne tried her best to get closer to her son. She did everything she could to allow him to adapt to being hugged and cared for immensely by her. Of course at first, he hides and runs away from her but ever since she knew of his love towards being strong, she began to use that as an excuse to spend more time with him.

If he doesn't smile and play with her a little, he wasn't going to have his desired sword practice. Though at first Dante faked his smile just so he could get the chance to train hard with Alfred but as the same event occurred almost every day, Suzanne began to notice Dante's sincere smile and laughter towards her and she was really glad to see her son having fun with her if not with anyone else.

"My point of the story is, if you want Dante to love you unconditionally, then you must be really strong. In the past, Dante was known to care so much about those who were stronger than he was. And once he had reached the pinnacle of strength he believed in, Dante became a little apathetic towards life once more,"

"But he changed again after meeting you four girls. Which means you four girls right now are his greatest source of happiness, "

"So what mom's trying to say now is that Daddy loves strong women right? Then I'll strive to be the strongest woman in the world," Delilah declared while puffing out her chest.

"Me too. I want Papa to care about me so so much," Leah relayed as she hugged herself while hoping it was actually Dante.

"I'll definitely work harder to impress Dada no matter what!" Mia declared as she clenched her fist tightly.

Seeing how everyone was sincerely hoping for Dante to care about them in return as they did for him, Suzanne couldn't help but smile at their sincere show of affections as she covertly hoped Dante too could have been a little bit more proactive towards his affections towards her.
