Marina huffed with annoyance because hearing her mother's voice made her blood boil. Evidently, the hatred towards her increased as the minutes passed by. Imagine that was only on the phone, and the only thing she heard was her voice calling her name, what would happen when she arrived at the pack?
That stuck in Cecil's mind as she increased the speed towards home, she wished she had the answer to that.
As her mother, Cecil knew the people staying inside the packhouse were not the same as them, and as such, she was aware of everything that occurred inside those four walls. The vivid picture of her running around screaming at Marina to slow down.
It is her way of mourning. This kept replaying in Cecil's mind, at least, it made her not lash out at Marina and told her she was acting weird and weirder as each moment passed.
