[RINZLER, FOUR WEEKS AGO]
The Mountain Pack and The Fishers Pack have the same bonds. The bond between Mates, parents and their kids, siblings, and the bond between the beta and the alpha.
Unfortunately, for Alpha Rinzler, he has none.
After his mother died, the bond weakened, and then a few months later it broke completely when his father fell ill.
The siblings' bond severed because the beasts who took their brother made sure of that. Even though Savannah was there, the bond wouldn't work. Stupid silly bond and its rules. They have to be together for the siblings' bond to function.
Alpha Rinzler didn't have a beta, and that was that.
His sister wouldn't have become his beta since she was already the acting Luna. It doesn't work that way. And when he met Marina, he was like, "thank you very much."
Since the bond between the mates was the strongest among the wolves. It would have covered that, and maybe later, he would have gotten himself a beta, and then the pack would have grown strong, and he would have succeeded in his search for his brother.
See, it would have been; United by Marina.
And then shit went down.
Now.
The little thing he has been holding on to was not there anymore. When he woke up, he felt his wolf retreating, it was doing that more than it did the previous day. Even his wolf wanted out. And by out, Alpha Rinzler knew all the wolf wanted was to die.
"No, don't say that." Alpha Fisher said.
Alpha Fisher kept repeating that throughout the whole conversation. Halfway through the explanation, he even stood and paced a little bit. Alpha Rinzler was not joking. He was dying, and it was because of his daughter.
Alpha Rinzler wanted to lie down but stopped himself. He thought if he did, he wouldn't wake up. And sadly, it would be it. Goodbye mate. Goodbye pack!
It has been an hour since he uttered those painful three words. 'I am dying!'
Alpha Fisher spun and asked, "why haven't you told your father?"
"Are you kidding me?" He asked sarcastically.
"He might help."
Chuckling, Alpha Rinzler raised his eyebrows at the man and responded, "you are my mate's father, and till now, you have helped me with nothing."
Alpha Fisher sat and held his head with his hands. Alpha Rinzler was right, nothing good would come out of it if they informed Alpha Aspen. The bond worked the same way as Alpha Rinzler as explained to him. "Savannah?"
Without missing a beat, he said, "my sister will kill Marina."
"Yeah."
They stayed in silence for a while. Alpha Rinzler ignored the headache. He rubbed the man's back and said with amusement in his tone, "please don't die on me. Marina won't like that."
"Why are you joking?" Alpha Fisher complained.
Rinzler shrugged, "it is true. Surely, Marina will kill me once she learns you died while with me." Rinzler paused and looked to the distance, he finished, "inside the room of the man she rejected. Oh. She sure as hell will reject me as she murders me."
Alpha Fisher shuddered.
"Sorry."
"Marina." Alpha Fisher mumbled. A sad smile appeared on his face. Everyone everywhere knew how much the woman adored her father. She would do anything for her father.
"Marina." Alpha Fisher repeated.
"Okay, this has been fun. But I have to go."
"No. Wait. You said Marina will kill you if I die inside your room, right?"
Alpha Rinzler hummed.
"What you are saying is, she will do anything if I die?"
"Mmmh." Alpha Rinzler said, removing his hand from the man's back. The way his face was lighting up gave him chills. Why was he smiling like that as if they were talking about planning a wedding?
"I will die." Alpha Fisher said.
In disbelief, Alpha Rinzler screamed, "what did you say?"
Was the man going crazy even if he had all the bonds in the world?
Alpha Fisher's face hasn't stopped lighting up, hell, it was shining even more. It was creeping Rinzler out.
Alpha Fisher slapped Rinzler's lap, ignoring the yelp that escaped Alpha Rinzler's lips, he said, "my daughter will come back home if she hears I am dead. I can bet on my stupid head."
"No. No. I don't think that is how dying works. One, you will die, like gone. And then what? Leave Marina behind killing me? Thank you very much."
Alpha Fisher couldn't believe what he was thinking. Dying for Alpha Rinzler?
Absurd.
"You know what? I was wrong to tell you I am dying. You are going crazy. Please, let me die in peace. Don't tell anyone." Alpha Rinzler said as he placed his right hand on the bed so he could stand.
Alpha Fisher wasn't having that, the wheels inside his head were spinning so fast. He pushed Alpha Rinzler down, and mumbled, "boy, sit." He didn't even hear the man groaning in pain.
Alpha Fisher asked again, "if I die, she will do anything. Right?"
"Yeah." Alpha Rinzler said and rubbed his face. What has he done?
"Then simple. I will die." Alpha Fisher declared. His mind went to High Priestess Mannequin. "I have someone who will assure that I am dead for Marina to come home. She won't have any other thing to do but to stay back."
"Dear heavens." Alpha Rinzler thought as he listened to Alpha Fisher.
"The pack must have an alpha, so that is a bonus. She might have rejected you in the past, but not after I die. And since she must rule alongside you, she will mate you. After that, you will have a celebration, Marina will accept you, and finally, I will come back." Alpha Fisher ranted.
His mind switched with ideas. Where they were coming from, he had no idea.
"When I come back, you two will go back to The Mountain Pack and live together as mates, Alpha and Alpha, Luna and Alpha. Whatever! What matters is that she will save your life!" He finished and linked his hands together.
"That is insane! It is blackmail." Said Alpha Rinzler as he stared at the man who was beaming crazily
"No. She is my daughter and your mate. It will be a win-win for all of us."
Alpha Rinzler knew it was the worst thing to do to anyone, let alone his mate. But as he stared at the man, he couldn't understand why he was considering the man's absurd plan.
