Marina left everyone more confused than the day she arrived with the absurd news of the boat competition, her mother was surely flipping on the grave and if Alpha Fisher heard of this while at purgatory, he would curse the heaves and the earth for never taking his daughter to see a therapist.
Walking in the dark towards the Lake, Marina promised herself never to cry again regarding her father's death, at least not for today. She pondered, "dad, are you happy? Did I do well?"
Before she answered herself, a car stopped in front of her, and Marina waved. Cecil got out of the car, hands on her hip, "you no longer surprise me, Marie." Marina thanked her and climbed into the car.
Arriving outside Chief Ayn's home, Marina motioned for Cecil to go and call her mother, claiming if she went inside, she would remember how much of a mess her packhouse was and she has missed a homely place.
