After a while;
*Ding! You completed all the tutorials.
*Ding! You completed the Quest and received the reward.
*Ding! Beginner package has been sent to the inventory.
"Okay, cool… Let's see what I have got."
During the tutorials, Kazuma unlocked a number of things like the inventory, system's store, two passive skills, a basic active skill, credits to real cash conversation, memory records, etc…
Now that he fully understood the system's functions, he appeared to be a lot calmer than an hour ago as he opened the inventory.
The inventory has over 500 slots with one of them occupied by a gift package with a pink wrapper.
He clicked on it.
*Ding! Open the beginner package?
"Yes"
The mysterious package disappeared and a number of things occupied the inventory slots.
*Ding! You received 10 creation tokens.
*Ding! 1000 credits have been added to the account.
*Ding! You received the Ring of Luck.
*Ding! You received a proficiency card.
*Ding! You received a +1 attribute ticket (7 days).
*Ding! You received 1000 exp.
*Ding! You leveled up by 5 times and received 500 credits.
"Ring of luck? It gives me luck or something? And what is this proficiency card? The system sure gave some weird items. Anyway, let's check out all of them."
*
Creation token
Description: Each creation token will let you create an item from your imagination within the training grounds. The created item cannot be taken to the real world.
*
Ring of luck
Description: Upon wearing the ring, your luck will be improved by 2 points. If anyone else, other than you, wears it, their luck improves by 1 point.
*
Proficiency card
Description: An item that will raise your proficiency of an active skill by a rank.
*
+1 Attribute ticket (7 days)
Description: An item that can raise your attribute by 1 point. It has an expiry date of 7 days.
*
"Okay… so, this ring of luck can also affect other people. That means I need to be careful about not letting anyone wear it. And secondly, I have one week to use the attribute ticket. Hmm, maybe, should I just raise my luck?"
Kazuma was right in his thinking as the other attributes can be raised by completing quests but not luck points. Not to mention, raising his attributes won't be helping him much. He chose the entertainment field.
Whether it is strength, agility, or vitality, raising it will not help him much in his profession. Perhaps, raising intelligence might improve his ability to write the lyrics but the memory record will bail him out.
For a while, neither did he need to create new songs nor did he need to work on the music. According to the system, he can extract the song belonging to the future from the memory record and register it in the system before it was officially recorded.
As long as he can pay relevant credits, the system will use the world law to wipe out all the existing possible knowledge about the song from the creators as well as the ones who listened to it prior to the release.
Now, Kazuma couldn't understand how this is possible but he doesn't care about it either. After all, he became the impossible. Traveling back in time by more than ten years instead of dying, and then, waking up with the ability of a gamer and a system in his head.
After facing all of this, should he still be concerned about all the logic?
Kazuma put away all the unnecessary thoughts and directly proceeded to click on the attribute ticket. He received the notification, right away.
*Ding! You used the attribute ticket. Please choose the attribute to raise the stat by 1 point.
His stats screen popped up before him with + symbols beside the attributes.
Kazuma went to luck and clicked on the plus. It is changed to 6.
"Okay, now it is the time for the skill upgrade. Well, I only have one active skill but it would be worth it if I need to visit the agency without wasting the time."
*Ding! You used the proficiency card. Please choose the active skill.
*Ding! The King of Piano was leveled up. Check out the skill tab for the details.
"System, open skill tab"
The three skills appeared on a new holographic screen. He then clicked on the proficiency
SKILLS:
Active:
The King of Piano (lv-2): For ten minutes, your ability to play the piano will rise to the maximum. Cooldown timer: 12 hours.
Passive:
Gamer's mind (max): You will always stay calm. Any kind of negative emotion will be able to affect your mind.
Inspection (max): You can gather information about anything (living or nonliving) by inspecting them from far away. Note: You need to be atleast within 10 meters from the target.
"Ten minutes… yup, that will be enough for me to showcase my talent. And now, I should choose a couple of songs to present it. However, they can be neither too good nor too mediocre."
After much thinking, Kazuma opened the laptop and clicked on the file named memory record.
*1997* *1998* *1999* … *2026*
Kazuma clicked on the Year 2021. It is the year when he finally managed to produce a kpop song that won a music show.
After he clicked on the year, the months were displayed.
*Jan* *Feb* *Mar*… *Dec*
He clicked on June.
*1* *2* *3*… *30*
He clicked on 21st. Since he was the one who had written the song, Kazuma was clearly aware of its release date. But, why does he need to search the memory record for his own song?
Well, he doesn't own the work completely. While he wrote the lyrics and composed the music, the production was done by someone else and one of the idols wrote his own rap and was included in the song.
Hence, he needed to register with the system for complete copyright. However, each song has a different price to register. It depends on the popularity of the song. The system will analyze its popularity from his memories and judge based on that.
After buying his song for 200 credits, he went on to buy another four. Overall, it cost him about 900 credits.
Once he was done with the registration, he thought of going the next step right away, which is to actually produce the song. But, to do that, he needs a production studio.
Luckily, he has more than 10 creation tokens, of which, one will be enough.
Kazuma opened the inventory. Just as he was about to click on the creation token, he suddenly remembered his sister.
"F**k, I forgot that I was in the middle of a call."
When he realized it, Kazuma no longer fooled around and closed down everything, and then, spoke out loud, "System, Exit the training ground."
The system was always very quick to respond.
*Ding! You are about to exit the training ground in 3, 2, 1…
Kazuma saw his surroundings change to that of a bus stop once again before a familiar voice from the mobile phone that is still near to his ears.
"Kazu-Nii?"
With his voice quivered slightly, Kazuma answered, "Saeko-chan?"
