Part 1:
After Mikado-Sensei had finally finished laughing at the little act between Mr. Yuki and Ms. Lunatique, she told everyone to gather in the kitchen.
When everyone had gathered in the kitchen, they took a seat at the square table in the center of the kitchen.
There were four available seats—two on each side of the table—so everyone was able to sit without needing to get an extra chair.
Tearju, who was still a little red in the face and embarrassed about earlier, naturally took a seat next to Mikado.
Oshizu, who wanted to go back up stairs and run duos with Rian, took a seat next to Rian.
Mikado-Sensei leaned forward and rested her chin on the back of her hands before starting the discussion with a slight smile on her face.
"Oshizu, Rian…the woman next to me is Tearju. Tearju Lunatique. Now, I'm sure that you, Rian, already know who she is. But since Oshizu doesn't, I'm going to give her a brief rundown."
Mikado waited until her previous words sat in everyone's mind for a few seconds before giving Oshizu a rundown.
"Tear is one of the people who I went to school with, so we have known each other for a very long time. I know that she is a very kind woman who is also extremely clumsy and somewhat shy. She is a genius…and knowledgeable in biotechnology and things relating to it..."
Tearju's face reddened, and a sugary smile blossomed on her face due to Mikado's extremely kind words.
However, that smile quickly went away with Mikado's following words.
"Like me, she also likes to wear skimpy, lace bras and panties–preferably white or purple. Oh, and her three sizes are ninety six, fifty six, and–mmmmmmmmm."
Before Mikado could announce Tearju's last size, Tearju, whose face was as red as a cinnabar, quickly covered her friend's mouth with her trembling hand.
Mikado laughed from behind Tearju's hands before raising her hands, signaling her defeat.
A few seconds later, Tearju slowly removed Mikado's mouth, allowing Mikado to laugh properly.
After Mikado had finished laughing, she continued her rundown.
"Tear isn't from here. She's not an earthling. She's from somewhere completely different. She plans on becoming a teacher at Sainan High so that she can see the person she hasn't seen in a long time. Both of you know this person."
"If you don't mind me asking, who is this person?" Oshizu curiously blurted out with dozens of question marks flying from her head.
Mikado smiled.
"Yami. The person is Yami."
Oshizu blinked several times. She then turned her head towards Tearju and really looked at her.
"Are…you…Yami's big sister?"
"...You…could say that." Tearju stated, not denying Oshizu's question.
"Now that Oshizu knows who Tear is and her goal…Rian, now that Tear is here and in front of you, what do you plan to do?" Mikado inquired.
Rian Yuki didn't even need to think for a second. He had already thought about it before he even asked Mikado.
"'I want to reunite them back together. After hearing Yami's story, that's what I want and plan to do." Rian declared.
Tearju smiled…but her eyes started to quiver an almost unnoticeable bit.
Oshizu smiled and nodded.
Mikado smiled…but she asked a question a moment later.
"And if you don't mind me asking, how exactly do you plan to do that?"
"Before I answer, let me ask Tearju a question." Rian said to Mikado before looking at Tearju.
Mikado nodded and looked at Tearju as well.
Oshizu looked at her also.
"Are you scared? Are you scared of what Yami's reaction will be when you approach her after so long? Are you frightened at the possibility that she has changed since the last time you saw or spoke to her?"
Tearju's body, heart, and eyes trembled after hearing Rian's words.
An unknown amount of seconds later, Tearju's mouth opened to speak. However, no sound or words came out her mouth. Tearju closed her mouth and her green eyes before dropping her head down.
Nobody said anything.
…
…
…
Rian's chair skid backwards.
Rian Yuki got up from his seat, walked over to Tearju, and put his hand on the head of the woman older than him.
After a short while of touching the women's golden hair, Rian's lips parted.
"Is what I said true?"
Tearju…
Tearju…
Tearju…nodded slowly, not realizing that her eyes had become wet.
Although she truly wanted to meet, see, talk, and laugh with Yami, she was also scared, frightened, and anxious of meeting her after all this time. She knew that Yami had changed after becoming the infamous assassin known as "Golden Darkness". She knew that Yam–No, Eve was no longer the little girl she used to read books to. She knew that everything that happened to Eve after she left that organization called Eden was because of her.
Tearju…
Tearju…couldn't blame Eve if she hated her.
"Do you want to repair your relationship? Do you really want to?" Rian asked in a calm and consoling tone.
Tearju's head raised up slightly and her voice finally escaped her mouth.
"I…I do. I want it…more than anything in the universe.'
Rian let out a almost silent laugh at Tearju's statement.
"Then…I will help you… you and Yami. To the absolute best of my ability."
After saying that, Rian put on his best smile, removed his hand from Tearju's head, bent down, lifted Tearju's glasses, and slowly and gently wiped the tears that had built up in her green eyes with his curled index finger before putting her glasses back down.
Rian didn't see the reaction his actions caused to Tearju because he immediately turned towards Mikado after doing what he did.
"I think they should just meet naturally now. I had a plan, but after hearing that she's becoming a teacher at Sainan, I think I should just scratch out my old plan."
Mikado nodded after a brief moment of thought.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Rian was kinda right.
Forcing a interaction would indeed be a bad choice.
