Michel was stupefied looking at his status, it was to the point that he was wondering if it was his own status or not.
His stats which were a little more than 20 before he entered the dungeon were now all almost doubled with an extra new stat 'Dominance' at that, which he obliviously did not have any idea of.
He had gained about four active skills and four passive skills! along with a single title.
The power of the increased stats was surging throughout his body, he could feel an immense amount of power from his closed fist!
"This power!! Am I dreaming?"
He pinched himself to check whether he was dreaming!
"Ouch!!..doesn't seem like a dream..."
The power that was surging through his body! He still couldn't believe it? He was still finding it hard to believe that the things that happened were all real and were not a dream!.
The soul of the one who was considered a great hero emerged out of nowhere from a seemingly normal dungeon and said that Michel was his grandson, the grandson of the Crazy Necromancer!
and on top of that, he bestowed Michel with the power that everyone in the tower lusted for.
Then again, he didn't know if everything that the Crazy necromancer said was true or not!
If it was indeed the truth, then who was the one he knew as his grandfather? does his father know about this? If they did know about this, then why didn't they tell him about anything? Why were his family, the descendants of the great hero living in the countryside? rather than in the Tower where they belong to?
There were many things that he was curious about! and many more things that he wanted answers for!
His head was in complete turmoil thinking about all those things but nothing could be done now! Nothing will be achieved by pondering over that matter, he decided to talk about the matter with his father and grandfather, when he go back home after clearing the 10th floor, that was the only way he could think of to find the answers to his questions!
Leaving all that aside, he concentrated on the things at hand!
He could feel ominous dark energy surging throughout his body!
Like the blood that circulated through his veins with a heart as a center, the dark energy was running throughout his body with the core behind his right eye as the center.
He could perceive an energy core that formed right behind his right eye and just below his brain. He didn't know why it was gathered there, nor what it was, he was just aware that it was there, and he could feel more power in his body than when he used mana.
He tried to gather that energy in his hand, he thought that it would be easy, like how he did with mana, he tried to lead the energy from the core to his palm.
What he got in return was...
"Ah....!" The nerves of his forehead bulged as the necrotic energy seeped out and he felt a steep pain in his head!
But he didn't give up! Enduring the pain he started leading it towards his hand, as the energy moved from his head to his right hand, the nerves on the path bulged up! it was as if the Necrotic energy was using the nerves as its means of transport!
It was weird to think that! because Nerves were something whose duty was to deliver the messages to the brain, but if the necrotic energy is using them as its means for transport then there may be some effects that may result due to it!
"Is this the Necrotic Energy?", He murmured as black gaseous energy oozed out of his hand!
He had heard about it, The mana of the dead, they say it was increasingly difficult to wield it. Even the veteran necromancers had to practice for years to get a good control over it!
But here he was using it with his first try! more than just using it, he was playing with it. Even though he felt a certain amount of pain while using the necrotic energy, it was weirdly getting less and less painful!
Within about just 2-3 minutes, he managed to lead the Necrotic energy into his legs, and when he did that, he could feel the power of his muscles increase! It was like strengthening a specific part of the body with it.
He had heard about skilled climbers using mana to cover a part of their body and using it to strengthen such part and he himself had tried it with mana but he felt that using necrotic energy is more effective!
When he got mana, he discovered it relatively easy to wield, it was like he just had to will and the mana will follow his Will, but using necrotic energy was difficult!
Every time he moved the necrotic energy, there was a steep pain in his head, not to mention the burden on his muscles, but despite all this, he felt more comfortable using Necrotic energy than mana!
It wasn't easy to wield but he felt more restful wielding it, it was a weird feeling like he was born to wield Necrotic energy!
Moving the necrotic energy all over his body, he was acting like a child who got a new toy to play with!
If any of the necromancers were to see this they would cough up blood! Normally it would take anywhere from a year to several years for one to learn the proper use of the necrotic energy but this boy was using it like a plaything!
That was just how much of terrifying of a genius and talent Michel was!
It was so hard to wield necrotic energy that Necromancy was considered one of the most difficult classes to have! But here Michel was playing with it while making a beard out of black gas!
After playing with the dark energy for some time, He looked at the corpse of the goblins that were piled up and being pierced by arrows!
A sudden thought came to his mind as he extended his hand and activated the skill.
"
"...."
But nothing happened!
"ugh..! Why isn't it working??"
Michel scratched his head in disappointment, but he didn't give up, raising both of his hands he again tried to activate the skill while leading the Necrotic energy towards the dead goblin!.
"
This time the black energy started to move toward the goblin corpse but after a certain distance from his hand, it completely dispersed in mid-air!
"Seems like I am not yet proficient enough to move it out of the body!" Thinking so, he got near the corpse, activating the skill again.
"
This time, he was in direct contact with the corpse touching its head with his right hand, and he didn't just mutter those words! He tried to push the dark energy inside him towards the body of the goblin!
Sure enough!
The dark Necrotic energy surged out of his body engulfing the goblin's corpse as a whole!! As a tornado, it completely surrounded the dead body and started to seep inside it!
Michel's eyes gleamed with expectations seeing that!
Time passed, and soon the skin and muscles of the goblin started to peel off.
Shortly, the whole body of the goblin which was previously covered by muscle and skin became just a pile of bones! and inside its empty skull where the brain was supposed to be, a bluish-black crystal had formed!
Ding!
[The skill
[Goblin lv.1 has been successfully resurrected as a skeleton]
[The goblin has retained 50% of its stat and all its skills]
The notification informed him of the skill's success as a blue flame-like glint started to form in the empty eyes socket of the goblin!
"Whoaaa!"
Michel gleamed in anticipation seeing that, the goblin whose eyes were now ignited by blue flames light started to move towards him with the crackling sound of its bone.
ding!
[Congratulations on summoning your first undead]
[You have taken the first step in the long journey of Necromancy]
[The Tower nods at your achievement for raising an undead even before entering the Tower]
[You are rewarded with the exclusive right to name your first summon]
The undead goblin came near him and kneeled, bowing its head!
Michel felt a kind of proud seeing the skeleton and he was also shocked by seeing the notification that came with it!
It was a known fact that normally Necromancers and the summoners can name their exclusive summons, not just a name to call it but for a name for it to be recognized by the tower as an entity!
Normally it would require the Necromance or the Summoner to sacrifice a part of their stats in exchange for naming that being, which would grant it an ability to grow with the summoner. but Michel was elated seeing that he had an opportunity to name the being without any penalties.
"If I had known this would happen, I would have gone for summoning the strongest being in the tutorial! what a shame!"
Indeed it was a shame! The one that he got the chance to name was not some extraordinary monster but a measly goblin, which he could kill hundreds or even thousands now that he was powered up!
"well whatever"
But who was he to complain! It was already a good thing that he even got a chance to name it freely, so he decide to just do that.
He looked at the goblin which kind of looked cute after it shed its skin and muscles, with only white bones!
He kept his hand on its bone head as he said...
"Ok, From today onwards your name shall be....."
