He was a man of righteous and was kind unlike any other upper ranked hunter. He wasn't affected by greed and was a perfect example of hero.
His goal was to lead a squad and he was clarified to become the first captain but before he got assigned by the title, Muto Hisoka took over. He bribed the staff and got himself in even without the skills.
Hashimoto Yasuhiro never intended to serve that animal of a human but after his power got popularity, Muto offered him to become his secretary but was rejected. So Muto used his family as a source to get his power. He made Hashimoto Yasuhiro's family a victim.
Even though he can beat Muto into a pit in no time, he has to be a robota.
'I have to fight this guy, he may just be on an equal level of that orc. This is the first time I have felt like I will loose to a human after I've been reincarnated.'
Even though the fight hasn't been even started, both Yasuhiro and Koji are carefully calculating every single possibility of chance and use of their skills.
'Koji Matsuoka, the same guy who beat Muto Hisoka without even moving a muscle, who killed an A ranked ghoul in an instant. I have to fight such a beast. I'm for real gonna die.'
'Ahh I want him! He's perfect! He is cautious, skilled, a good leader figure and has everything I need. I'll take him no matter what!'
"Yasuhiro-san, can I-
"Koji-san will you-
Both of them spoke at the same time leaving the conversation awkward.
Koji felt like he should take the lead and said,
"You may speak first."
"If you say." Yasuhiro replied in an appealing tone.
"If you beat me today, and somehow beat Muto-sama too, will you please let me be on your squad?"
Koji looked at him with visible confusion and excitement.
He smirked and responsed
"You really are who I need. Once I beat him, I promise to free you from this misery."
Yasuhiro smiled and bowed.
"Nothing will bring me more joy, but for now. Please battle with me."
"Yeah."
Koji pulled out a coin from his pocket and said.
"Once this coin lands, we'll start our little duel."
"Alright, I'm ready."
Koji spin the coin in air and took out his flame sword. Yasuhiro followed him and also embued his sword with water element. A perfect match from flames.
As the coin got near the ground, Yasuhiro mumbled
"I know I stand no chance against you but, I have to complete my dirty to keep my family safe."
The coin fell and both sides clashed in an instant.
While clashing, Koji said,
"Them let me make it quick."
They both bounced back and used their skills.
Yasuhiro used strength boost which increased energy of his sword to it's limits.
'He could match it with his bare strength alone. I can even feel water element; way more powerful than mine, from him. He could overwhelm me with his strength so why isn't he?'
Koji only used the stamina skill and burst towards Yasuhiro.
"Ugh!" Yasuhiro just barely blocked the attack as it was way too fast.
"What are you? A monster!?" he asked furiously.
"Let me show you how big of a monster I am. Have you ever seen the opposite element like flame overwhelming water?"
"That's not possible!"
"Then let me show you. The miracle gifted to an apostle."
"Apostle?"
Koji used invisible cover and strength boost.
He puts all his power into his flames. Their size increased gradually.
"The flames...you're using your energy as a fuel!?"
"You bet I am!" Koji smirked nervously.
"You'll die! It may explode!"
*Don't worry about me. Prepare for this next attack."
Koji clashed with Yasuhiro again with his sword at maximum.
The flames started to overwhelm the water. It started boiling.
"I won't loose!!" he screamed as he put more energy into the water element.
The process of boiling slowed down but Koji wasn't using all of his strength.
"You'll die at this rate." Koji said to Yasuhiro.
"I have to win."
"Winning without any objective for future. The knight who fights for victory over experience, fame over pride, and money over justice are the most disgusting and loathed insects. Your mistake was thinking in that way and for that, I must punish you as my secretary."
Koji put more energy in the flames which now completely covered the whole building.
"This is the power of a S rank? Now I see why I could never reach it. My mistake was my idealism." Yasuhiro mumbled.
His sword started to crack and soon got destroyed launching him to the wall.
Koji won the duel and Yasuhiro.
He walked up to him while he was just close to collapsing.
"Welcome aboard, my secretary." Koji whispered in his ear.
Yasuhiro smiled with excitement and then fall unconscious.
"Wait for me, I'll get you after I kill that bastard who dared to touch my family." Koji said as he went in the direction of Muto's office.
The moment Koji entered, a huge amount of automatic destruction spells were casted him.
The spells caused a huge explosion where Koji was standing.
"I did it!" Muto shouted thinking that he won.
"This bastard might have beaten my useless pawns but not me! I am inevitable!"
He was overexcited by thinking he won that he left himself open.
"On what base do you think you have won?" a voice came beneath the flames.
"Impossible! They are high class flames that burnt everything." Muto spoiled in a confused tone.
"Too bad for you, I can deflect any magic."
'I really can't, my invisible protection was just left on by me so it saved me.'
"Impossible! I won't accept this!"
"Now now, you still have to pay for what you did to my family."
"Huh?"
"Prepare to die." koji said with a smirk in a berserk tone.
