Chapter 58 - 57: Challenge the Big Tsunade, It’s Really Big

Naruto and Tsunade stood facing each other on the street outside the izakaya. The tension between them was palpable.

"Boy, it's too late to back out now!" Tsunade said, hands on her hips, her chest—often compared to basketballs—heaving with indignation. She glared at Naruto with disdain.

"Lady Tsunade, you seem to have forgotten one thing," Naruto replied with a grin, his muscles tensed and ready to dodge her inevitable attack. "You've never won a bet!"

Boom!

The words "Lady," "Mother-in-law," and the jab at her infamous gambling streak triggered Tsunade's infamous temper. A vein popped on her forehead as she lunged forward, her foot slamming down with enough force to crack the ground.

Jiraiya, watching from the sidelines, silently praised Naruto's audacity while wiping sweat from his brow. He braced himself to witness Naruto's impending beatdown.

Naruto, however, had other plans. He instinctively wanted to activate his Sharingan but held back, not wanting to reveal his secrets to Tsunade and Jiraiya just yet. There was still much he could learn from them—Tsunade's medical ninjutsu and monstrous strength, and Jiraiya's vast knowledge of ninjutsu.

Instead, Naruto's body flickered, and he vanished.

"So fast!" Jiraiya and Tsunade exclaimed in unison, their eyes widening as Naruto reappeared three meters away.

Naruto smirked. Thanks to his Wind God Body, a technique he developed after mastering wind-based chakra, his speed had reached new heights. Combined with his supernatural ability Graceful Steps, he had created a new movement technique: Wind Instantaneous Technique.

He didn't know how it compared to the legendary Shisui's Body Flicker, but he felt confident it was on par with the Fourth Raikage's lightning-fast movements. While the Raikage relied on lightning chakra, Naruto's technique was a fusion of wind chakra and his unique abilities.

Boom!

Tsunade attacked again, this time twice as fast. Her expression grew serious as she realized Naruto wasn't an easy target.

Whoosh!

Naruto's body drifted away like a gust of wind, reappearing several meters away as if he had never been in the original spot. Two massive craters now marked the ground where Tsunade's attacks had landed.

Tsunade's face twitched. She hadn't expected this kid to be so agile.

"Third strike!" she declared, launching an even fiercer attack. Her foot slammed into the ground, creating another crater as she charged at Naruto with all her might.

But Naruto was ready. As Tsunade's fist closed in on his face, he vanished once more. The sheer force of her punch grazed his cheek, but he remained unharmed.

Three strikes had passed, and Tsunade had lost the bet.

"Hmph!" Tsunade glared at Naruto, then turned to leave.

"Hey, Big Tsunade!" Jiraiya called after her, borrowing Naruto's cheeky nickname. "You lost the bet. You're coming back to Konoha with us tomorrow!"

Tsunade spun around, her rage palpable, and sent Jiraiya flying with a single punch.

Naruto, undeterred, called out, "Lady Tsunade, how about another bet? This time, I'll bet I can knock you down in three moves. If I lose, our previous bet is void, and you don't have to return to Konoha. But if I win, you'll teach me your best medical ninjutsu!"

Tsunade paused. "What do you want from me?"

"Your medical ninjutsu," Naruto replied confidently. "Your very best."

After a moment's hesitation, Tsunade turned back. She wasn't one to break a promise, especially not to a kid. If she could cancel the previous bet by winning a new one, she was willing to try. Besides, she didn't believe Naruto could knock her down—no matter how fast he was.

But Naruto had a plan. He knew her greatest weakness.

"Alright, let's do this!" Naruto said excitedly. He bit his thumb, drew a line of blood on his left arm, and performed the Summoning Technique.

Boom!

A toad twice the size of an adult appeared at his feet. Naruto didn't bother learning its name. He simply ordered, "Use your water jutsu to cover my attack!"

The toad complied, shooting a jet of water at Tsunade.

Naruto glanced up and saw Tsunade trembling, her arms wrapped around herself. Her hemophobia had kicked in. Shizune, standing beside her, tried to shield her from the water.

Seizing the opportunity, Naruto flashed in front of Tsunade and slammed his hands into her chest.

Boom!

Naruto wasn't known for his strength, but the sheer speed of his attack amplified its impact. Shizune, caught off guard, tumbled to the ground with Tsunade.

One move. Tsunade was down.

Naruto had won again.

"Wow, they're really big!" Naruto thought to himself, barely suppressing a grin.

Suddenly, a red-haired masked woman appeared, wielding the Kusanagi Sword. She thrust the blade toward Tsunade.

Shizune reacted quickly, pulling Tsunade out of harm's way, but the sword still grazed Tsunade's shoulder.

Splat!

Blood splattered, and Tsunade's trembling intensified. Her face turned pale.

Jiraiya, recovering from Tsunade's earlier punch, rushed in and kicked the masked woman. She dodged and vanished into thin air.

Naruto watched the scene unfold, a satisfied smile hidden beneath his calm exterior.
