"Hmph! This time, I will defeat you!" Sasuke retorted coldly, pulling out another kunai with his free hand to stab Naruto.
"Earth Style: Subterranean Voyage!"
Suddenly, hands emerged from the ground beneath Sasuke, grabbing his feet and pulling him into the earth until only his head remained above the surface.
Naruto didn't hesitate, aiming a powerful kick at Sasuke's head.
"Boom!"
Purple chakra burst from Sasuke's body, repelling Naruto backward. Sasuke leapt out of the ground, rushing toward Naruto again.
Despite Sasuke's aggression, Naruto remained calm, even while mid-air. In the blink of an eye, he created a dozen shadow clones. The clones formed seals in perfect sync, and as they landed, they shouted in unison:

Although she wanted to scold Naruto, she held back, realizing that Sasuke had initiated the battle and hadn't shown mercy either.

"What a drag. This year's Chūnin Exams are going to be troublesome," Shikamaru sighed as he walked away. Chōji followed behind, mumbling, "When did Naruto become this strong? He used to skip class with us all the time back at the Academy!"
Ino, however, stood frozen with jealousy, watching Sakura tend to Sasuke. Though she wanted to approach, her past poor relationship with Naruto made her hesitate. In the end, she turned away reluctantly.
