Haku, from the Yuki clan, hesitated momentarily but couldn't find a good explanation, so she lifted Zabuza's body and disappeared into the forest at high speed.
Naruto quickly made a hand seal and shot a whirlwind from his mouth, aiming at the fleeing Haku, but she was already out of sight in the blink of an eye. Naruto could only sigh, turning to glance at Kakashi, who was standing still beside him.
Kakashi slowly lowered his headband over his left eye, then suddenly collapsed. The intense use of his Sharingan had drained him, leaving him utterly exhausted.
"What a fragile guy!" Naruto muttered, tempted to inspect Kakashi's Sharingan. But he sensed two ANBU ninja watching nearby and decided to suppress his curiosity.

**The Next Morning**
At the home of the old bridge builder, Tazuna, Kakashi finally awoke. Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura gathered around him.
Sakura looked worried and asked, "Kakashi-sensei, do you think Zabuza will come after us again?"
Kakashi nodded seriously. "Yes, but likely not until he's recovered."
Hearing this, both Sakura and Sasuke tensed up, remembering the terror of their last encounter with Zabuza.
"So, we'll use this time for special training to strengthen you all for the next battle!" Kakashi announced to the team.
"It's pointless! All of it's pointless!"
Everyone turned to see a young boy, Inari, standing at the doorway, looking at them defiantly.
"If you try to fight Gato, you'll just get yourselves killed!" Inari declared.
"Inari, don't say that," Tazuna said, pulling his grandson back and introducing him to the group.
Inari shrugged away and walked out. Naruto scoffed, feeling disdain for Inari's hopeless attitude, but since he was just a child, Naruto decided to let it go.
He didn't feel compelled to comfort anyone; everyone had to find their own path. Instead, Naruto was focused solely on his own strength, so he urged Kakashi to take them to the nearby woods for training.
---
In the woods, Kakashi complimented the team, saying, "I heard you've already mastered tree-walking. That's excellent!"
He then turned to Naruto. "Naruto, tell me which jutsu you've mastered so far."
Naruto replied calmly, listing off C-rank Wind, Earth, and Water techniques, along with the Clone Technique, Transformation, Body Replacement, and Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu. Kakashi was slightly taken aback by Naruto's calm demeanor, though he praised his progress.
"You're at Chunin level now, Naruto," Kakashi said. "To help counter Zabuza's Hidden Mist Jutsu, I'll teach you a B-rank Wind Style technique: [Wind Style: Hurricane]."
After explaining the technique and hand signs, Naruto nodded and immediately began training.
Watching Naruto walk away to practice, Kakashi then turned to Sasuke, asking if he'd mastered the C-rank Fire Style jutsu. Seeing Sasuke's nod, Kakashi continued, "Then I'll teach you an A-rank Lightning Style jutsu, my own [Lightning Style: Chidori]."
As Kakashi demonstrated the Chidori, Naruto's lips curled slightly. In the original story, Kakashi taught Sasuke this powerful jutsu before the Chunin Exams, but Naruto had been sent to train with Ebisu until Jiraiya appeared.
---
"Wind Style: Hurricane!"
Naruto created fifty Shadow Clones, each one dispersing to practice the newly learned technique. Fifty clones seemed to be the most efficient number; too many would decrease their duration, and the mental strain after they dispelled would be overwhelming.
Kakashi, Sasuke, and Sakura looked on in admiration at Naruto's incredible training speed. Noticing this, Kakashi gave them additional guidance, then limped back to Tazuna's house to rest, trusting that the nearby ANBU would keep an eye on things.
Naruto, sensing Kakashi and the ANBU's presence fading, smirked slightly, his sensory abilities already covering a 100-kilometer range. He knew Haku was still nearby, tending to Zabuza.
By noon, Haku left to gather herbs, and Naruto recognized his chance.
With a puff of smoke, Naruto's main body remained with Sasuke and Sakura while one Shadow Clone teleported to Zabuza's side using a Flying Thunder God mark placed there the previous day.
Appearing next to Zabuza, the clone swiftly drove a kunai into his neck.
"Flying Thunder God Slash!"
Zabuza's eyes widened in disbelief as blood poured from his neck. He couldn't understand how Naruto had reached him so suddenly. After years of evading Kirigakure's hunter-nin, he never imagined he'd fall to this boy.
The once-feared "Demon of the Hidden Mist," an elite Jonin, perished in an instant.
---
The Shadow Clone received a notification: "Ding! Congratulations on defeating a Jonin. Awarded 100 points."
"Sell the Executioner's Blade for another 100 points?" the system prompted.
"Sell," Naruto decided immediately, discarding the massive sword in exchange for points. He then took Zabuza's head as a trophy and buried it in a remote location, making it appear as though bounty hunters or hunter-nin had killed him.
The clone dispelled itself, and back at Tazuna's house, Naruto felt a grin form at the corner of his mouth. With a total of 202 points in the system, he browsed the array of available skills, excited by the possibilities.
"Now… which skill to upgrade?" he mused, eyeing the list with satisfaction.
