"I'm relieved that he was indeed taking care of you. He even agreed to make your relationship public just to help you. Which means he was indeed a good person. What is he like in person?" Layla asked about Alistair as a boyfriend this time.
Loraine internally sighed in relief that Layla finally believed that Alistair was her boyfriend.
"Well he is indeed a good person. You will know what he is like once you meet him in person," Loraine replied.
Alistair was indeed a good person to people around him. But Loraine knew from the novel she read that he was not really as gentle and kind as he portrayed himself to be.
Loraine did not want to destroy Alistair's image in Layla's mind though, so she just told Layla that she would know once they met.
After all, since Alistair was now Loraine's boyfriend, he would likely meet her friends too.
