"No, you didn't. And it's alright even if you do," Alistair said, putting down his phone and smiling at her.
'Is he putting up a facade again?' Loraine wanted to roll her eyes when he put up that smile.
"I'm sorry; I didn't want to disturb you when you were resting.
But we need to talk about what we should do next," Loraine explained.
"Yes, of course.
We do need to talk about a lot of things.
I was just about to send my assistant to find you," Alistair smiled again.
He could smile quite a lot for a patient who almost died.
Loraine had to wonder if his smiles were to hide his pain. Maybe his injuries hurt again, and he was hiding them with a smile.
She had no time to play, though.
She wanted her vacation back.
"I'll be direct, Mr. Alistair. What do you plan to do next?"
"I need to go to Le Country.
One of my friends is an extremely talented doctor.
He can assist me with my recovery," Alistair replied directly too.
It was good that he already had someone in mind to take care of his recovery. Lorraine wouldn't have to worry about it.
'Wait, an extremely talented doctor?
Is he saying Dr. Sam, who treated him, was not good enough?' Loraine narrowed her eyes.
Alistair raised a brow at the look he was receiving. Then he understood that his words may have sounded ungrateful and rude.
"Oh, I'm sorry.
I didn't mean that any other way.
I was just saying I needed to meet my friend since I'm not sure which of my other doctors I could completely trust.
I am very grateful to you and your doctor for treating me and my guards," Alistair quickly clarified.
Loraine finally stopped giving him a side glance.
Alistair wanted to laugh at the expression Loraine made.
When was the last time a side glance looked adorable to him? He didn't know that the Young Miss of Rand Antares could make a face like this.
But Loraine might be offended, so he quickly clarified what he meant instead.
She seemed to look out for her people, so she might get angry at him if she thought he was underestimating her people or was looking down on them.
Regarding his friend, one of Alistair's friends was indeed a doctor. But the most important reason for him to head to Le Country was to attend a meeting.
He needed to attend the family meeting in two months. If he does not attend, the old man may take a variety of actions to trouble him again.
Loraine noticed that Mr. Alistair was unwilling to explain all his reasons. But she wasn't even interested in getting to know them anyway, so she simply agreed.
After all, learning a lot of information meant that she would become too deeply involved, which was something she didn't want.
There was no need to get herself into more disturbance in her plans of lazing around as Miss Antares.
"Okay, I see.
Then, we are going to Le Country tomorrow.
I will let my assistant and bodyguards prepare for it." Loraine simply agreed without further questions, and Alistair was visibly grateful for it.
"I have to trouble you again with this matter. Thank you, Miss Loraine," Alistair said sincerely.
After all, it wasn't easy to find people who didn't ask a lot of questions before agreeing to help with something. Especially in a situation like this that involved great risks.
"It's fine, Mr. Alistair.
You have already set a payment, so there's no need to feel bad." Loraine was just doing it for her own good, though, since she didn't want further headaches once this was over.
Back in her old world, Loraine wouldn't have placed herself in a situation like this and wouldn't have agreed to Alistair's terms so easily. She would have had a lot of questions.
The sooner this matter was over, the sooner she would be able to get back to her planned tours.
"Then I'll go and let my people prepare.
Have a good rest, Mr. Alistair!"
Loraine said her goodbyes to get things done.
"Have a good rest as well, Miss Loraine."
Loraine then headed to the first floor after leaving Alistair's room.
She heard the bodyguards discussing some security measures, and her assistant was adeptly taking some notes.
"Mr. Mo, I have spoken with Mr. Alistair. We are going to Le Country tomorrow," Loraine revealed.
"I understand, Miss Loraine, and I will begin preparing immediately," Mr. Mo agreed without questions.
Her guards were so reliable.
"Sarah, do we have a private plane at a nearby airport?" Loraine inquired. With their wealth, she was sure they had this kind of privilege.
It was only a part of her fantasy in her former world, but here, it was a reality.
Miss Antares' memories revealed to her that they had private planes in various locations strategically assigned to ensure they could escape in case there was an emergency.
Likewise, it was used for their travels to prevent risks and complications from happening.
"Yes, you have one. I will contact them right away," Sarah replied, immediately browsing through her phonebook.
"Good. It will be less troublesome with a private plane." Loraine acted all cool about it like it was nothing.
But deep inside...
'Oh, my goodness! I'm going to ride my own private plane! '
Loraine was internally jumping around in excitement.
In her former world, she had been in Mr. Bale's private plane a lot of times, but there was nothing compared to being in your very own private plane.
This time, it was called hers.
There was a great difference, and she was very much excited about it.
'Hehe. This means I would be traveling around in private planes if I toured farther locations within the country, right? 'Loraine was excited about the thought.
Once they were done helping Alistair Hilton to safety, Loraine would go on more tours and by plane this time!
