"Jim!" You whispered carefully, passing through different prison cages. None of them had a single living soul.
The prison smelled of rot and there were bones, dry bones.
"Jim!!" You called again, remembering the pharaoh's promise to execute him.
Walking closer to one of the giant cages, you saw a body. Barely recognized and slowly getting rotten.
"Oh Jim!" You fell on your knees as it was the only newly rotted body around. "Why did I leave you in the first place? Why did I come to ancient Egypt? This bloody age."
"Y/N! I'M HERE!" Jim screamed out in anger as he saw you weeping over a foreign body.
"JIM!!!" You ran towards his cage and fell almost immediately, weeping badly.
"Let me suffer for my sins" Jim said with his head down.
"No, I won't let you die, I'll-.... Wait what?" You were immediately taken back by his words.
"Looks like my time has come Y/N. I lied!."
"Lied?"
"The pharaoh wasn't going to get killed"
"Whatttttttttttttttttttt!" Your jaws dropped at this shocking confession.
"I wanted to travel to ancient Egypt so badly that I used a cursed object to open a portal which led us here. In order to make this looks legit I made up a really good lie and told you the pharaoh, would get killed by assassination." Jim's words made you feel like slapping him on the face.
"You did-"
"Y/N, the first light from the morning sun is up, the palace guards are approaching and you won't be able to get me out of here. Pray I ask you to run away and go down to the village after the Nile and stay there. Don't come out and reveal your true identity until you find the scarab beetle-"
'SNAP'
The prison bars broke as you shut your fire weapon which was effective when he spoke rubbish.
"How did you?"
"Shut up and let's get out of here." Losing his hands from the bind, you ran away with Jim, far from the capital.
Passing some guards wasn't a big deal, but when the alarm sounded, a whole new problem hung around your neck.
"Your Majesty! The foreigner has escaped!" The news reached the pharaoh's ears.
Without thinking, he marched into your chamber and without knocking, the door opened wide ajar.
"Y/N!" He thundered while looking around, but didn't see you at any angle. "I knew it! That-"
"My king" you called from behind the curtain making the pharaoh look really shocked.
"Y/N?"
"You called? Is there something wrong? What happened?" You asked as two other maids stood by your side.
"Leave us alone!" The pharaoh commanded the maids who did not hesitate to leave.
Once they were gone, the pharaoh looked at you with a narrowed eye.
"Although we aren't married, Yet, I'll still call you My queen"
"Sure your majesty"
"That 'Jim' of yours escaped"
"Really?" The expression on your face made the pharaoh continue.
"Yes."
"Then-"
You were interrupted by a sudden hug from him. Your face touched his strong chest and you couldn't imagine someone like this, heartless and quite a tyrant [A/N: Remove the word 'quite'] would have a calm heartbeat.
"Ramesses?"
"Keep quiet and listen to me" His voice throughout was calmer than any would imagine. "Please Y/N, don't leave. If you do, I'll make sure you will regret it deeply to the bones when I see you again. I can't do without you, just please don't leave. Forget Jim, stay by my side and be my queen, Egypt's queen. Please don't go."
In forever, you never knew the great and famous pharaoh would use the word please and with a genuine heart.
"I won't leave"
"Promise me you won't"
"I promise"
Breaking the hug, he placed both of his heads on your face and looked you in the eye.
His eyes made you shiver and shake inwardly as it became deadly serious.
"Swear to god Ra that if you do, you must come back to me"
"Uh?" Your ears weren't playing tricks on you. This man is serious.
"Swear to god Ra my future queen! NOW!"
"I swear to god Ra that if I leave, he will bring me back to you"
"Good!." He said with a relaxed face.
"O-" a kiss from him made you pause and your words uncompleted.
"Egypt has chosen you as their Queen, the gods have marked you and finally, my heart is only for you. Two days from now, you will become my Queen and stay by my side forever until we die, Together." His voice creeped the hell out of your soul. Especially the last word.
"Together?" You curiously asked.
"Yes. Your death day shall be mine and my death day, yours. So, when I die and become a god, you will be by my side."
End of discussion.
The pharaoh left the room as you blinked continually in fear.
"So if he mistakenly dies and you are alive, you must join him?" Jim, who had been hiding, asked.
"Hmmm" you answered.
"That man is sick!" Jim held an object in his hand tightly.
"Yes!"
"Okay, thanks for the distraction. I have already gotten the scarab beetle." He announced happily.
"Thank goodness"
Giving you a piece and holding another, you two placed it together at the same time creating a portal.
"How did that happen?" You questioned Jim.
"I don't know. But don't you want to go home?" Jim held your hand with a smile as the maids watched.
"Sure."
Without thinking twice, you two jumped into the portal as the maids motioned a bow.
Their presence was also part of the plan.
Meanwhile, you opened your eyes only to be lying on a bed. Your bed in reality, you were back home.
"Jim!"
"Yup, we made it alive" he hugged you as some jewels you wore from ancient Egypt clanged together.
"I think you should take those off"
"Of course. But we will talk after now on the lie you told me" you yelled at Jim who ran away in fear of getting beaten.
BACK IN EGYPT.
"Your majesty, the queen is-"
"Gone" The pharaoh completed the guards' words.
"Yes my lord"
"I know. Now leave"
Linepa, the pharoah's most trusted guard, quickly left the room, not wanting to anger the pharaoh.
The pharaoh on the other hand stood by the bed, holding your linen gown tightly before dropping on his knees.
Tears rolled down his eyes as he clenched his fist tightly, striking it on the ground which created a deep crack.
With a loud voice, he cried out, "god Ra bring my queen back into my arms! Please! I swear not to let go of her, bring back my Y/N!!!!. Or I'll never worship you again!."
As he sobbed on your garment, a low white light shone brightly from the evening skies.

The night slowly approached as you went to take a good relaxing shower.
The water splashed on your head as you relaxed under the splashes.
Unknowingly, a little symbol was drawn on your arm.
The eye of Horus.
A sign and promise that the gods would drag you back to Egypt.
