" You have to be married by next month"
Those were the words that flew out of his mother's mouth right in the middle of dinner.
He never relished the idea of upholding to his mother's request to come home each time but the thought of that lady's boobs dangling over his face loomed over him. Without much persuasion, he came home in hope of finding her there and maybe even scoring a nice shot with her but not only was her absence threatening to strangle him, his mother's over ridiculous request made him choke on his food. What did she mean by that? get married?? and that too by the following month?? Surely his father would step in for him like he always did.
He looked at his dad for support but none came forth. His father's dreaded silence spoke volumes to his already aching heart. So they were in on it together. He crumpled the tissue in his hands in sheer frustration.
"I'll get married when my brother gets married" He spoke firmly, possibly in a bid to reason with them. They could t argue against that could they.
"Your brother is already engaged to the woman i sent to your office today. You need to get married" his mother replied.
" why do I have to get married" He whined childishly.
"Because you aren't getting any younger. Your mother and I will soon enter our graves and we need to see our grandchildren before that happens. Ed is playing his part and you should follow" Greystoke looked him in the eye to show him how serious he was.
He held his chest to hold his pounding heart. Beads of sweat formed on his face, his pupils dilated and he coughed loudly. His mother rushed to his side with a glass of water but only if she understood that he wasn't going through a physical breakdown. What he felt was a pain beyond human grip. All his years he had lived as he pleased but now they were forcing him to enter into ultimate confinement
MARRIAGE
He'd rather enter a monastery than spend the rest of his life with a single woman. He must stop this at all cause but how?Once his father had made a choice he won't even budge over his life.
" I need some time to think" he dragged himself to his room. His mind dizzy and foggy. His vision became clouded and for a second he had already imagined passing out but the liquid that dropped to the floor was nothing but his tears. When was the last time he cried? He couldn't even recall if he had ever shed a tear but now there was nothing to hold back his tears.
He curled himself in his blanket and for hours, he sobbed gently until he fell into a deep slumber.

Fave sat with Ed, champagne in hand as she stroked his hair.
"I hate your brother. He is such a ballsy bastard "
"You'll get used to him - eventually!! Sometimes he acts like a pervert.....Well he is a pervert but he's a good guy deep inside. He is determined, strong headed and sweet. It will take a little time for you to see that side of him especially with your amazing personality. Just be patient with my little bro. You'll see it very soothe landed a small peck on her cheek.

Lucian Greystoke walked into the office with a sour expression. The female workers were usually greeted with a seductive smile while the male workers were showered with praises over their hard work but none of these greetings occurred that morning. His footsteps were heavy and bore the clacks of impending danger. Everyone avoided his path as he made his way to his private elevator.
" You have to be married by next month "
His mother's words played in his head. Sleeping had made him forget his troubles but the moment he woke up, his despair came pouring down on her. He barely ate his breakfast, his mind still a train wreck, his system still battling the weight of her words. There was a string of difficulties in comprehending her and he didn't even want to understand it.
Lucian went straight into his office locking the door behind him. Slumping into his chair, he spinned grabbing the file behind him and a cup of latte to distract himself from the horrors of last night's dinner.
He focused on looking through the contract with Darba's group of sons.
He had barely ran through the details when a knock interrupted him.
"come in" he sighed.
Tessa walked in. In her hand was a large white folder with lots of files. He raised an eyebrow at her.
"You have a board meeting in fifteen" She handed him the file which had brief details on the agenda for the meeting. He scanned through it briefly before handing it back to her.
" Did you go through this yourself" his eyes still fixed on the file observing the notes she had made in his favour. "This is quite particularized and exhaustive. Very thorough and precise I should add." He was impressed with her work but did not show it. He didn't want to give her any chance of feeling important. After all, he was out to oppress her. "Could you handle the meeting for me. Am not in the right frame of mind "
She nodded and left him to the still of his luxurious office.
The incredulous feeling twined around his neck. His mother's voice haunted him constantly without a break. Try as he could, he could not find a way out of it.
His cell vibrated but it did not ring in his consciousness. He pondered over the matter for a while and concluded to deliberate on it with his pal, Al. Reaching his conclusion, he took a deep breath and refocused his attention on the contract.
Ed called him again but he ignored it. He didn't need his brother coaxing him into mom's request. That was the last thing he needed.
