Xanthus's POV:
While immersed in my thoughts, I didn't even realize that the strange guy had slowly crept a few steps closer to me. When I realized his nearing presence, my heart unexpectedly pounded hard, making me flinch. I leaped a quick step back from him, and scowled at him, "Hey, stop right there! Don't come near me!"
"O-Oh…I…I am sorry, I didn't mean to startle you, Your Majesty…" Once again that radiant smile spread on his face like a ray of blissful sunshine, so warm to look at. But his deep ocean eyes looked a bit gloomy when he heard my sudden roar, and halted his approach towards me immediately.
Scraping his nape, he answered in a timid voice after a brief pause, "I am just so happy. It feels surreal to see you again that without even realizing it myself, I was walking up to you."
