I left Alpha Nakamoto’s place in his vehicle that he let me borrow along with a security detail from him. There would be a cost to all of this one day, there would be a price that I would have to pay. But I would pay it willingly if it meant that I would at least get Adeline back safely.
Alpha Nakamoto had seven kids of his own, and his Luna had been taken once before. He knew exactly the kind of situation that I was in right now, though I didn’t have any children just yet.
The car drive to the airport felt like it took forever, I counted every tree we passed, I watched the lines of the road as we sped over it. And every minute that we spent on the road was another minute that I wasn’t with Adeline.
Then we were at the airport, and I was taken right to the air strip. Nakamoto was one of the most powerful Alphas in Japan, there were things that he wouldn’t have to go through, and airport security was one of those things.
