[Xavier's P.O.V]
The faces of the three elders turned pale and then red, but none of them was willing to leave. They exchanged glances and smirked wickedly.
Emir spoke up, "So what if they're expelled? As long as we hold the initiative, can't we just reinstate their names? Andrew, do you really think we're powerless? Aren't you fond of your son? He's still the future heir to count title, but now, he's far away in the werewolf city, unable to help you."
"As long as you die today, we can simply claim to the outside world that Xavier was killed by werewolves. Do you think the people in the family will believe it then? Won't the position of the count no longer belong to your family line?"
I couldn't help but nervously look at Father, but he didn't glance my way. Surely, he was afraid of me being exposed. I turned around and sent out another message. Time was of the essence; the people outside had to be ready at all times.
