Kirk stiffened for a moment, paused, then slowly sat back down. "But they're all dead. The killer who murdered Nazan didn't face justice right away."
"Yes, because we never knew before," I understood this deeply. "The fingerprints we initially extracted must have been Panse's. Due to his status, everyone kept it under wraps and quickly replaced them with someone else's, resulting in an innocent person being wrongly accused."
"We knew that whoever killed Nazan couldn't be an ordinary person, but before we could uncover the truth, that decoy also died."
I wasn't keen on admitting that this was a stroke of Panse's brilliance because his status predetermined his actions to protect his reputation.
And Anton knew about this but kept it hidden for so long.
