It wasn't until the news of Gemino's death from poison that I took out my phone and called my father to tell him the news. He was obviously shocked. "Kans poisoned him?"
"Yes, and he had been poisoned for quite a while. We didn't have enough time to detoxify him." I paused for a moment before continuing to say, "We will finish the autopsy and send Gemino's body to Bright Moon Pack along with the autopsy report later. Father, perhaps Kans' case needs a heavier sentence. He had taken a life by poisoning his father-in-law for more than three years."
If Nora found out, wouldn't she hate him? But these were not my concerns. Once I had settled Gemino's matter, another night had passed. I remembered that Kirk had told me he would prepare a place for Anton and me to rest. But when I looked up at the sky, it was probably a little too late for that.
