Before he left the office, I quickly called out to him again, "Olly! Did Ellie go to the reserve a few days ago? Did our people see her?"
Olly turned around and said, "No, Alpha, our people followed your orders and were there only at night."
My heart suddenly skipped a beat. Perhaps I was wrong. The only possibility left must be that the missing werewolves were just bait and we wrongly thought that they were only taken at night.
It seemed that I had underestimated our enemy. I couldn't imagine what would happen to me if Ellie were to be captured because of my mistake. Fortunately, I had time to make up for it. "Tell them immediately that there must be someone secretly watching the reserve twenty-four hours a day."
"Yes, Alpha."
If Ellie had seen the enemy, maybe I could ask her what the person looked like. It would be much easier to find out that way.
