[Kirk's P.O.V.]
The moment the paramedics got out of the ambulance, I thought there was hope. We followed them to the hospital.
They hurriedly carried Grandma in. I originally thought that the resuscitation would take a lot of time, but I didn't expect the doctor to come out so quickly.
We gathered and anxiously asked the doctor about Grandma's condition. The doctor looked at me with eyes filled with sorrow and regret and I knew what it meant. I was stunned silent.
The moment the ambulance arrived, I still had a glimmer of hope, but it was fleeting. Now, all I could think of was that my grandma had left me, and I could no longer hear her call my name. I could no longer accompany her, and I could no longer fulfill my promise to protect her.
I had lost my only family in this world. From now on, I was all alone.
