For this girl to discover the way substance X was formed on her own made me understand why Newman had been paying attention to her for so long. I couldn't help but start to think highly of the girl he had mentioned. She was definitely not simple.
There were two patients who were consumers of substance X around this girl. One of them was in a coma and the other passed away a year ago. He must be Patient Zero.
I wanted to ask Newman more about the girl, but he said something that interested me even more - that I was very familiar with Patient Zero. He was the brother-in-law of the second-in-command of the gang, Nazan, whom I was currently supporting. Patient Zero was also the father of the gang's heir who was opposing Nazan. I never thought that he would be related to that girl as well. She was most likely someone who was standing on the same line as that heir, making her my opponent too.
