[Ellie's P.O.V.]
We didn't walk far before we heard the nurse mumbling behind us, "She must have been beaten up because she stole something or someone else's man. She deserved it."
Abby wanted to rush over and hit her, but Rowling stopped her. She whispered into Abby's ear, "Don't panic, I have a plan."
Rowling slowly brought me to a corner. I was full of doubts, not knowing what she wanted to do. When I looked up, I saw a big red paper on the wall with a complaint number.
Rowling, this fellow, was terrible. I almost laughed out loud.
The nurse noticed our actions and ran toward us from the front desk in a panic. She pushed Rowling anxiously and Abby immediately defended her as if Abby would bite her to death if she moved.
The nurse knew that she was in the wrong. So she pretended to be calm and said sternly, "What are you doing?"
Rowling pretended to be confused and said seriously, "Nothing. We're just standing here for a while."
