[Ellie's P.O.V.]
Even now, I still couldn't face her with a calm heart. The reason I came to save her was all due to my sense of responsibility. I couldn't just leave her be.
"Just tell me what it is. I still can't guarantee that I'll be able to help you," said I.
Chloe smiled awkwardly when she saw how impatient I was. "It's a long story. Sit down and I'll explain it to you."
I followed Chloe into her room. It was so messy that I had to search for a long time before I could find a place to sit. Chloe awkwardly took out a paper box from what looked like a pile of trash, folded it into a thicker piece of paper, and placed it on the ground. It was barely enough to sit on.
I felt that it was a miracle a she-wolf could live in such a simple and messy place. It looked even worse than living outside. I didn't think I had lived in a worse situation now that I'd seen her place.
