[Ellie's P.O.V.]
Ever since Kirk returned from Chloe's residence, he had become more and more focused on finding out the truth. He even asked me for a month's leave and would often wander around Arya River, trying to find a trace of clues.
My heart ached whenever I see him acting so desperate. In order to help him as much as I could, I temporarily put the management of Moon Manor as my second priority and often investigated with Kirk. Although I had comforted Kirk by saying that Chloe's words couldn't be true, I was starting to feel like she might be slightly right felt. Regardless, I did my best to search for other kinds of clues on the internet.
The result was similar to what I had expected. There was nothing to be gained. There was no evidence to explain why a normal werewolf would strangle himself to death for no reason. This matter became more and more confusing.
