Chapter 891 - Blame

The three elders hadn't fully recovered, and their expressions deepened. They pointed at Xavier but couldn't find the words.

After a moment of calm, the middle-aged bald elder scolded Xavier, "You should not have followed here. Look, now you don't even care about your own family, siding with an outsider. I don't know what your father was thinking to agree to such absurd requests."

Xavier took a deep breath, appearing on the verge of anger. He stood up abruptly, his tone icy, "If my father knew the whole story, he wouldn't say much. And what have you three elders done? You've allowed the family's criminal to escape repeatedly. Shouldn't you reflect on yourselves? So, you have no right to mention my father!"

I could see that the three elders were picking on the weak. Probably because of their current position on our territory, they dared not express dissatisfaction openly. Therefore, they directed their blame towards one of their own.
