Seeing their urgent demeanor and connecting it to Yili's question, it wasn't hard to deduce what was going on. Yili and Hart's journey to the Dark Night pack would have taken them through the neutral zone, where Leah currently resided, having been denied entry into the Dark Night pack.
After Xavier became familiar with everyone here, no one spoke ill of him. Only Leah would seek to approach Xavier and tarnish our reputations.
Yili was visibly worried, "What rumors? I'm genuinely concerned they might be true. Isn't there a human boy here with you? People in the neutral zone are saying you've kidnapped him! That's not good for you!"
I was momentarily stunned, quickly realizing this must be Leah's doing. Unable to meet us directly, she sought to draw our attention and smear our reputation by spreading such rumors.
