For Xavier, both Anton and I treated him like a younger brother. At least, after he learned about our true identities, he didn't show the same hostility and prejudice as Brian.
Initially, Panse's death had been another blow for Anton, but the presence of Xavier in the car quickly lightened the atmosphere. Anton would occasionally crack a smile.
When we arrived at Count Andrew's apartment, we unexpectedly saw Leah. She was sitting on the couch, sobbing and complaining to Count Andrew about her grievances, criticizing us harshly with tears and a pitiful voice. It could be moving to someone who didn't know the recent events.
Unfortunately, she wasn't the teenage girl she used to be, and everyone was well aware of recent developments. So, we walked in with indifference, and Count Andrew's expression remained unchanged, even darkened.
