[Ellie's P.O.V]
I knew in Anton's heart, he was blaming Panse, but no one anticipated that there would be someone like this, someone who had deceived Panse and had even greater ambitions.
Even though I didn't participate in this battle, just watching from the outside felt thrilling.
"For a short period, there shouldn't be another war," I said.
Looking at these fortunate survivors, I also felt a pang of pain. But between wars, where were the winners? We might have won on the surface, but the families and friends of these warriors lost them, and the warriors lost themselves.
After counting the numbers, Ollie said, "Three hundred went in, but less than ten came out. That means we have two hundred and ninety-one warriors forever left in this mountain."
This number silenced all of us. After this, not only did two hundred and ninety-one lives perish, we didn't even know how many of them were married or living with mates.
