I suppressed the bitterness in my heart and gently patted his head, smiling as I said, "Colin has gone to another place, and he won't come back."
I tried to tell Myron a calm tone, but life and death matters should not be discussed with children.
I watched as Myron's face gradually turned angry, and I knew he was blaming Colin for not keeping his promise. I continued, "Don't blame him, he had no choice. His mom and dad are in another place too, and he just went to find them. He... hasn't seen his mom and dad yet."
Colin's parents had died in a car accident when he was still a baby. He hadn't had a chance to enjoy his parents' love, and he had become an orphan. I wondered if he would even recognize his mom and dad if he met them now.
