[Ellie's P.O.V]
As we returned from the Stowe Pack, spring gradually made its appearance on the roads, and travelers were no longer disturbed. Hopefully, those people would not appear again.
We had sent Ollie ahead to the Bright Moon Pack to deliver Kaz and the others to him at the city gate and take them back. Then, Anton and I headed into the city.
We hadn't informed our parents and my sister in advance; we wanted to surprise them.
When we stood in front of the family gate, I couldn't help but feel nervous. The gate was closed, but I thought I heard Myron's voice.
I rang the doorbell, and my father's beta opened the door. He looked surprised when he saw us. I quickly made a hushing gesture, indicating that he didn't need to reveal our identities immediately.
He nodded in understanding, smiled, and gestured for us to come inside. We followed him to the entrance, and he went in first. We overheard a conversation inside.
