[Joseph's P.O.V]
I was originally an unknown medical researcher, but my achievements in medicine surpassed anyone else at that time. I spent decades conducting research in my laboratory, equipped with my complete experimental apparatus. I was one prestigious award away from gaining recognition worldwide and stepping into the public eye.
My wife, Amanda, was my university classmate, and she had no real interest in medicine. She pursued the same major as me only due to family pressure. Yet, after we married, she wholeheartedly supported my work, even though I often didn't return home.
