[Ellie's P.O.V]
My eyes widened in disbelief.
Inside the room was an array of neatly organized scientific equipment. Even under the moonlight, there wasn't a speck of dust to be seen, suggesting that the place was regularly cleaned. But there was no sign of recent use.
"Let's go inside," Anton tapped my shoulder. "The person must have left."
He gingerly climbed in, and I followed suit, trying to avoid making noise.
We tiptoed around the room, studying our surroundings. It was hard to believe that behind the closed door, locked during the daytime, was such an organized space.
Various instruments were neatly arranged, and there was no trace of any chemical smell. The air was filled with an ancient vibe. There was a small pool, and the moonlight glimmered on its surface. Inside, there was water...
