[Ellie's P.O.V.]
By the time the funeral ended, it was already dusk. When most of the people had left, Anton whispered to me that Panse's death was also quite sudden for the people close to him based on their behavior today.
I saw Anton frowning and he spoke with sarcasm as if he didn't believe that Panse would choose to commit suicide so easily.
I thought of the dream I had in the hospital that day and was beginning to feel convinced that there might be a deeper meaning in Anton's words, but I also felt that it was a little unbelievable. "Maybe he really doesn't want to interfere with your life anymore."
Compared to Anton, I did not know Panse as well. All I knew of the man was his strong desire to exert his control over Anton. So it did seem a little out of character of Panse to suddenly let go and leave without any explanation.
