I didn't know how Kans convinced Yili to talk to me on his behalf. Perhaps it was only because she was going to meet me anyway.
But how should I tell her that it would be meaningless and inappropriate for Kans and me to meet? It would only magnify the guilt in my heart. And what if I said something more hurtful?
"Sister..." Yili pouted to plead with me. "He's been begging for a long time. Just agree to meet him once. He promised me that it would only be this once and that he would never disturb you again."
Kans had begged Yili, and now Yili was begging me. So who could I beg to get out of this situation? I sighed heavily. Yili knew just how to make me compromise, and her method always worked perfectly on me.
Fine, I agreed. It would be good for closure anyway.
