[Ellie's P.O.V.]

We stood back to back and were on guard against the witch's potential attacks. However, she simply ran around the living room. First, she took advantage of her invisibility to break out of the encirclement, causing several guards to roll on the ground in pain. Then, she ran away.

I keep hearing the sound of windows shaking and doors rattling. She must have been looking for an escape. Invisibility must have been the only ability she had right now. I smiled bitterly. Whatever I had read about in the books wasn't completely false after all. 

But I would not let her leave this place.

This was the only thought I had at the moment. I only had one chance. Once I let her go, I would just end up becoming a demon - a chess piece she could manipulate. And she was more likely to hurt more people.
