[Ellie's P.O.V.]
Although I couldn't see the witch's expression, I could tell from her tightly clenched fists that she was getting nervous. Was she that concerned about the success of Ant Year? If she succeeded, she would have a killing weapon. If she failed, she wouldn't lose anything. So why was it such a big deal to her?
Father, Anton, and Olly calmed down. Seeing that there was no immediate danger, they continued to stand beside me and stared at the witch.
As time passed, the moon gradually revealed its full shape, a round disc hanging high in the night sky. The moonlight reflected off the snow, illuminating everything so brightly that night lights on the streets and buildings would have become redundant.
I looked out the window and smiled with satisfaction. "The full moon is out. You lost."
