[Ellie's P.O.V.]
I spent the whole night in the office looking at the things Aidi left behind. I mumbled to myself as if Aidi was still with me.
The storage room was far away from my office, so I could only hear the faint sound of boxes being opened once in a while.
Our mate bond allowed me to feel his emotional changes. Perhaps it was because he saw the greeting cards that Aidi left behind. I didn't know what was written in it, but I was sure Anton needed to read those words.
In the early morning, I heard the clear sound of tape as Anton closed the boxes again. He felt very calm, as though he had thought things through.
If Anton wanted to take the items away, I wouldn't have stopped him. After all, those items were left for him by Aidi.
The moment the door opened, I stood in the hallway and looked at Anton silently. To my surprise, he locked the boxes back in the room.
