I didn't know why, but I saw a flash of disappointment in Anton's eyes when I looked up.
I couldn't care less. Even though Anton was good to me now, all he could do was make promises for now. Whether he would truly keep his word or not was a different story. A brief moment of greed would only make me end up in a hopeless situation, so it was better for me to restrain myself from the beginning.
"Things are always easier said than done." With that, I turned around and left.
Ever since the sisters arrived, Rowling had disappeared to who-knew-where. From the corner of my eye, I saw Anton still standing at the door, so I pretended to look for Rowling.
I didn't know how much time had passed, but by the time I looked at the hotel entrance, Anton was gone. I finally heaved a sigh of relief.
My phone beeped, surprising me. I picked it up and saw a message from Anton.
