If we couldn't save them, then maybe that was their fate. Perhaps I would never find out the truth behind the incidents.
Rowling and Anton ran toward me. Anton grabbed my arm and said, "Don't go. Take a rest. The fire is too big."
"Yes, Ellie. I'm afraid this fire can't be controlled easily. I think the people inside will be burned to ashes." Rowling also advised me.
I looked at the flames that had already lit up half the sky and my heart stopped. Distracted, the bucket in my hand fell to the ground with a thud.
By the time the fire was controlled, the sky was already starting to turn white. The fire had engulfed everything, all five of the rooms as well as the surrounding buildings. Everything was now in ruins. Even if we rarely used these spaces, they were still useful. Now all that was left were broken walls.
"I'm fine," said I with a smile as I looked at Rowling and Anton. "Come, follow me."
