I saw the guards leave the interrogation room in fear. As they were closing the door behind them, some seemed to be wiping their sweat. It was almost winter, so it couldn't be due to the heat. Did they really do something shameful behind our backs?
"If there's anything you want to ask, you can ask first." Anton's words pulled me back to reality.
I shouldn't be bothered by the policemen right now. The truth would be revealed eventually.
Doug's hair had grown a lot longer and was as messy as a tree canopy as if it had not been taken care of for a long time. When I was in Bright Moon Pack, I had followed my father into prison. But life in there was not like this, which made me more suspicious.
Doug looked at me. His unfocused eyes flickered for a moment, and then he turned alive. "My life is over because of you. What else do you want from me?"
