[Ellie's P.O.V]
Over the past year, everything had been very peaceful. But I could feel the changes in my body. I had been suffering from minor illnesses and occasionally a serious one. This all came from being away from my mate for too long. As Myron had been growing, I had prepared a separate room for him to sleep in early on. But I couldn't keep hiding my condition forever. I smiled to myself bitterly.
As the car passed by Anton, Kirk glanced over and noticed my emotional change. He looked at me worriedly through the rearview mirror. "Sister Ellie, are you okay?"
Anton was a public figure who often appeared on the news, so Kirk would definitely be able to recognize him. I knew what he was asking about, but I didn't want to talk about it. I forced myself to calm down and shook my head, "It's nothing. Let's go back."
Seeing that I wasn't willing to tell him, Kirk decided not to ask any more questions. He focused on driving.
