[Ellie's P.O.V.]
"You know." I didn't dare relax for even a moment. I coldly interrupted him and pushed the dagger one step further to warn him.
"Alright, I know."
John obeyed which made Kirk and I look at each other. We couldn't waste too much time or we would attract suspicion. Thus, we didn't beat around the bush and decided to just go for it.
"Did you kill Nazan?" asked Kirk, deliberately sounding different and cold.
"Yes." John was rather straightforward in his respone. There was not a trace of hesitation in his eyes when he looked directly at Kirk as if he wasn't afraid of Kirk's threatening stance at all. "I've long wanted to make a move on the boss of Shengda Pharmaceuticals and happen to find out that the real boss was Nazan some time ago. When I went to kill him, I was surprised to find him already injured. It seems that even the heavens were on my side.
John laughed as he spoke with a hint of arrogance.
