[Kirk's P.O.V.]
When I heard the doctor say that Mr. Bel's life was coming to an end, I was very sad, as if another family member of mine was about to pass away.
Too many innocent people have been sacrificed in my fight against Nazan to be the gang leader. My grandma, my father, Mr. Bel, and many of my Dragon Slaying Gang brothers supported me. They died because of me. I must win, for them, and for myself.
I had to make sure they did not die in vain. They didn't do anything wrong. They had simply chosen what they believed to be right.
When I walked into the emergency room and saw Grandpa Bel lying on the bed, dying and with all kinds of instruments and test tubes inserted in his body, I wanted to make a memorial for him.
Grandpa Bel seemed to have aged a lot since he arrived at the hospital. His wrinkles were deeper than the last time I saw him. His closed eyes and bloodless face deeply hurt my heart. My eyes started to feel dry.
