[Ellie's P.O.V.]
Since there was nothing else that was wrong with Chloe's body, the doctor felt that she could be discharged and brought home to rest.
I didn't intend to let Chloe return to her original home. Everything that had happened there had made her a threat to herself.
Kirk and I arranged for Chloe to stay in the manor and we spent a few days choosing a caretaker to take care of her. In the end, we chose a little girl who came from the same village as Chloe. She had a gentle personality and two small dimples when she smiled, making her look very simple and honest.
More importantly, when I was observing the way she was taking care of Chloe, the girl would still talk to Chloe from time to time, asking her how she felt. Even though no one answered, she didn't stop at all. In addition, her delicate methods made me even more certain of my decision in picking her.
After settling Chloe, Kirk and I returned to Chloe's house.
